What Happens Before Facial Fillers?
Before Facial Fillers, the patient should stop all medications that can thin the blood (i.e.: Aspirin, Advil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Multivitamins, most herbs, and homeopathic remedies, St. John's wart, etc.). If the patient has previously suffered from cold sores, they should consult with us about medications to take prior to the procedure to minimize a reoccurrence.
What Happens Post-Care for Facial Fillers?
The treated area may be a little red or swollen. The patient should immediately place a cold compress after treatment to reduce swelling. The patient should also avoid large facial expressions, and touching the treated area for six hours. Intense heat should not be around the treated area for several days.

RESTYLANE® LYFT
RESTYLANE® LYFT are both pure, synthetic versions of hyaluronic acid, a substance made naturally by the human body, which helps give the skin firmness and elasticity. Plumping and restoring fullness to the skin where facial creases and folds have set in, both RESTYLANE® LYFT are recognized as reliable remedies for wrinkles and indentations, particularly under the eyes and around the nose and mouth. RESTYLANE® LYFT is particularly well-suited for lip augmentation as well. RESTYLANE® LYFT is composed of larger particles of hyaluronic acid, and is intended for injection deeper into the skin.

How Does RESTYLANE® LYFT Work?
RESTYLANE® LYFT are made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. The hyaluronic acid in RESTYLANE® LYFT is a crystal-clear gel, called NASHA or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. NASHA is completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid.
How Long Will RESTYLANE® LYFT Last?
This is a long-lasting treatment; however, it is not permanent. The length of time the treatment will maintain is dependent upon age, skin type, area treated, and life-style. With a recommended touch-up at four to six months, the FDA has approved that RESTYLANE® LYFT can be effective for up to 12-16 months with these touch-ups.
JUVÉDERM® XC
JUVÉDERM® XC is an injectable facial filler used to soften deep folds and reduce wrinkles. This product is made up largely of hyaluronic acid, normally found in the skin, muscles, and tendons of the body. It is also used in the lips, and to fill in shallow places and scars on the face. Eventually all hyaluronic acid fillers are absorbed by the body, and you will need to come back in approximately a year for more treatments.

Older faces take on more youthful characteristics because hyaluronic acid is known to bind with collagen and elastin to move basic nutrients into the skin giving you volume.
JUVÉDERM® XC is 85% “cross linked.” When hyaluronic acid is in its natural form it's a liquid. Cross linking chemically binds the chains of acid so that it is transformed into a gel giving volume under the surface of sagging skin. JUVÉDERM® XC is a free-flowing product for injecting into sensitive areas making this process much more pleasant for the patient. The new addition of lidocaine integration has subjectively improved the experience for the patient.
